Gebze-Halkalı commuter lines (upgrading the existing 63 km long commuter
double lines under operational conditions, and converting it to surface metro adding a third track, construction of 37 stations, storage Yard/Maintenance Workshops and overnight yards) and Upgrading of power and electrification, signalling, communication, fare collection and other electro-mechanical systems. The characteristics of system will be upgraded: - Passenger capacity of line 75.000 Per hour-Per direction - Max speed 100 km/hour - Headway 2 min-10 min. - Length of Stations 180 on (minimum) - Max. grade % 0,18 This project is a part of Bosphorus Rail Tube Crossing and Gebze-Halkalı surface metro system project. Whole project's engineering and consulting service and bosphorus Rail Tube Tunnel construction sections will be financed by JBIC (OECF). |
