of Diesel Electrical Locomotives:
The age of diesel locomotives in TCDD fleet is between 15 and 19. In order to reduce the maintenance and fuel costs of these locos, aging locomotives will be replaced by high powered diesel locomotives through procurement of a limited number of locos and manufacturing the remaining. Technical terms of reference have been prepared and project is ready for tendering. 60 Units of Electrical Mainline Locomotives. In order to meet the electrical loco requrements needed for newly electrified lines as well as to reduce the maintenance and energy costs of the locos, new electrical locos need to be procured/manufactured. Administrative and technical terms of reference have been prepared project is ready for tendering. |
